I am sitting here waiting for Timmy to send me some copy and I had a little time to read some of the other local food blogs. I mentioned earlier today that I found some of the “freshest news on what’s flavorful in Dallas” over on Eats Blog. However what I didn’t find was any mention of Lisa Garza’s appearance on The Next Food Network Star on the DMN foodie site. Hmm, I’m just curious. You still blog about Top Chef which, to my limited TV knowledge, doesn’t have a local connection, but you go radio (newspaper?) silent on a home-town gal whipping up an emotional frenzy on national TV. WWUBD? Come on Freckle Face, you can talk to me.
He’s too busy eating cheese to watch the show.
Because they are as whipped to death as everyone else about her and that damn show.
TRU DAT! We’ve had it with show! Enough already!
No suprise really — but quite possibly the astute ‘take the high road’ albeit very nice crowd at the DMN foodie site (including one Bill Addison) took the stance early on that The Next Food Network “Star” circus does not represent in the words of Confucius “Man at his best”. The tacit sound you hear emanating from this DMN group on the ridiculous notion they should somehow feel obligated to vacously applaud a manipulative off the chart hometown national train wreak in the making is indeed ironic. Its the exact same tacit sound you now hear from many of the good folks over at Sidedish. Shhhh! be quiet and listen. You may just hear the plea “Weez tired of the circus and just wanna go home — ok Mom”?
