And the Hits Just Keep on Comin’

I can hardly muster the strength to post my thoughts regarding the atrocity I just witnessed on Top Chef. I’m afraid I may be banned from ever posting again if I say what I feel, so I’ll try to keep it in check. However, I’m so disgusted with the recent development that there might not be much I can say without the cloak of anonymity. Hmm-who should I be?

Beware-spoiler immediately after the jump!!!

How is she still here??? Of course, I mean Lisa. How does someone who has been in the bottom as much as she has make it to the finals? I don’t get it! I understand that they have to go by each individual challenge and that I’m not tasting the food, but really??? She’s awful. (Like I said, I have to keep it clean) And what made it even worse was the snotty comment she made at the end to Stephanie and Richard for not congratulating her. Like Richard said, why should you be congratulated for barely coming in third, especially when you don’t deserve it. At least they had more class than she did for not telling her what they really thought like me, but alas, I’m not on the show!

Poor Antonia. I felt she got the big time shaft, but I love it that she whispered to Stephanie, “kick their a**.” I wonder if that was meant more for Lisa? Either way, it’s official. Lisa has managed to surpass Ilan (he was a weasel) as my all-time, most-loathed Top Chef contestant. But good luck Steph-I’m rootin’ for ya!

Kristin, it’s because she’s such a raving beauty! Looks always win on tv. Okay…a little evil, so I’ll stop too. Horrible doesn’t even cover her lovely behavior.

We cannot share your disgust any more! After her rude comments to Stephanie and Richard, hubby clicked off the tv and went to bed w/o a word…poor thing. I, on the other hand, am still swirling from outrage!

If she wins, we will never watch again!!!

When Lisa edged in last night, the first thing I thought was, “I can’t wait to log on tomorrow and watch everyone dump on her.”

After 6 appearances in the bottom, Lisa made it to the FINALS, which technically puts her on par with Casey Thompson. That thought has me more pissed off than anything.

I’m pulling for Richard for his good attitute and creativity, but suspect the producers may not want to award Top Chef to a 4th CIA grad in a row. Then again, it may not matter.

they always need a villain in the finals…

    hnh different headline

    I’m exasperated. Seriously? Lisa??

The other two completely deserve it and prior to last night I thought Richard would pull out the win, but now I think Stephanie’s the one to beat.

Why would anyone ever hire Lisa? She seems like the practical definition of a clubhouse cancer. Terrible attitude (Richard put it well last night when he described her as a cloud in the kitchen), outrageous sense of self-entitlement; who needs that? I wouldn’t take a hot dog stand hot dog from her.

That said, she does deserve some credit for studying up on Puerto Rican cuisine.

I’m still pulling for Richard, with Stephanie a close second, and she gets high marks for pulling it out of the fire after Dale forgot to refrigerate the pork belly. Of course, he came up with the great salad idea to redeem himself, but every chef gets to take credit (and blame) for the successes (and failures) of their staff.

Credit to Andrew, too, for sucking it up and not taking the opportunity to sabotage Lisa. She totally deserved it from him for the way she threw him under the bus a couple of weeks ago.

Related note: I wonder why they’re not doing the “behind the scenes”/reunion show before the finale? Last couple of seasons they did that reunion show somewhere before the finale. Lisa would do well to be absent/sick on the day that they film that.

I agree and disagree with foodbevlaw. After the show it was the first thing i thought of as well! Lisa is horrifying and i could not wait to read the bash fest on here!

But- to compare Lisa to Casey is dead wrong! Casey might have been in the bottom quite a few times, but the talent last season was far superior to this one and i do believe that Casey won 2 quick fire challenges and 3 if not 4 elimination challenges. I might be wrong but, has Lisa won anything? And Casey is far easier to look at than that Lisa.

  • snootyfoodie

Mulry, we were wondering the same thing…no reunion show? Who do you think would win fav?

  • foodbevlaw

    Jimbo,

I was just saying that simply putting Lisa in the top three wrongly puts her on par with Casey. Holy Lord, there is no comparison in any way!

Just another element of the travesty that Lisa made it that far…

  • Jimbo

Gotcha! Now I totally agree with you!! Cheers!

  • RB

cant stand lisa. i think the final four shouldve been richard/steph/antonia/dale

  • Brett

I wouldn’t eat anything Lisa cooked because she looks like she showers in a grease trap.

  • Jack

After 91% of the audience wanted her to pack her knives?! I agree, Stephanie is the one to beat.

I continue to have a problem with the whole “judging by each indivudual performance” rule they seem to go by. That rule claimed Sam from season 2 prematurely, as well as Trey last year. Anotnia and even Dale to a certain point (he won a bunch) were caught by this philosophy this year, as Lisa gets through by simply never being the absolute worst on a given night, even though she was second worse on multiple occasions. I think a Top Chef should be someone who is consistently good, and that wouldnt include Lisa in this years group, but would include Antonia. If Lisa had really stepped it up and dominated in the late round, I would give her points for that even, but she didnt, and it sucks that she is still here. She is not only my least fave top chef personality, but she has now surpassed Coral from real world/road rules as my least fave reality star ever…(yep, i just said it)

    SO PISSED OFF ABOUT LISA.

cannot muster anything else but UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
