More From Lisa Garza!

She’s got more to tell you. After the jump.

Just wanted to say, after having a couple days to digest all of the fire storm around my “character” that it Really, Really, Really, hurts to see yourself edited to look like something that your not. I was stressed, tired, overwhelmed, sized up and attacked before I even said a word. My natural reaction is to put up a wall, because anyone that knows me, knows, I’m very, very sensitive. Hard on the outside, mushy on the inside. I had a really tuff time growing up and its hard for me to open up right away, survival skills are very hard to get rid of. When I feel under attack, I come out with fists ready to defend myself.

What you don’t see is that I’m actually fighting back tears when I have my confrontation with Alton, that I’m not given the same treatment as the others and I’m told I’m on my last take when I actually have 2 more. So, I hope everyone will realize, you don’t even get close to the whole story when you watch. You get a 45 minute edit from 48 hrs of taping. Totally out of context.

And, as much as everyone wants me to shut up on the show about my desire to feed the homeless and help impoverished kids, I won’t, ever, hate me if you want, judge me if you like, but it’s the truth, whether people want to hear it or not. It’s my passion, along with service. If you’ve ever been to a party that we’ve catered, you would see the real me, serving with a smile, gracious and ready to give you my whole heart on a platter if it means you leave with a smile on your face.

I did not pursue this show. I am not some attention hog with a need for fame. I was cast, I was called and after multiple meetings and conversations agreed to do the show. I knew I would be painted in this light but, I put my head up on that chopping block because I have a real message I want to get out. I’d take the beating  ten times over if I end up having the resources to save one more kid from the [stuff] I went through growing up. If you want to know who I really am, before you judge me, from your safe, anonymous chair, go to my face book. I am an open book. Tear away.

Huh. “Reality” shows are edited to manipulate the audience?

Someone get me the president on the horn right freakin’ now. This is an outrage.

I don’t know Ms. Garza, I have watched probably 20 minutes of “reality TV” in my life, and I’ve never seen the show in question, so take this for what it’s worth, but — if you are so sensitive, and don’t have a “need for fame” and aren’t an “attention hog,” then perhaps signing up for a show like this wasn’t such a good idea.

I did notice you fighting back tears with Alton, after being in restaurants as long as you have that surprised me? I do not understand that you did not pursue this show? Did they call you? I like you on the show and I think you have some skills when it comes to the kitchen, good luck

Lisa, I think you are wonderful…being the wife of a chef can be the biggest reality show of all, and you have handled yourself with grace, strength and determination..and you have done it all in heels.

P.S.By the way, on ‘Good Morning Texas’, you handle Gordon like a champ.

I am a super fan of yours, Lisa! We’ve met several times and I was about to pick up the phone to ask you about catering my wedding reception… and then you go and get yourself on TV! How will I ever be able to afford you now?!!?

I’m very proud of you, and hope you don’t feel the need to defend yourself after each episode! You rock!

Lots of luck and best wishes!!!

You are not the person the show is trying to make you out to be and although I’ve never met you I have heard of you from various family and friends. Hold your Texas head high and carry on, we’re behind you.

Well that stinks that they over edit it to portray some false drama and heighened extreme nonsense – call me naive but yuck -

    Hope you do well

Lisa looks like a grown up version of the kid in Oh God Book II. Very pretty!
