Sometimes a Scarf is Just a Scarf

When I think of terrorism, Rachael Ray is probably one of the last people who comes to mind. But hey, that’s just me. CNN reports that Dunkin’ Donuts recently pulled an ad after complaints that the scarf she was wearing resembled a traditional Arab headdress.

The coffee and baked goods chain said the ad that began appearing online May 7 was pulled over the past weekend because “the possibility of misperception detracted from its original intention to promote our iced coffee.”

I wonder what Mrs. Ray thinks about all of this? I’m guessing it’s not “Yum-o!”

I’d love to hear what she is saying in private. Probably not printable me thinks.

Seriously, people need to get off their freaking soap boxes and have a dose of reality slapped into them. They should spend their time whining about Sharon Stone’s bone-headed comments about the Chinese earthquakes or something that actually DID happen.

    Jeez.

What do the right wing nuts think of our troops in Iraq wearing exactly the same black and white houndstooth scarves? Supporting terrorists? They are crazy

No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of neocons. Our entire nation, on the other hand, is on the brink of going broke from overestimating it.

Truly, what the heck is wrong with the righties? Enough of them got into a huff over a SCARF that they got an innocent ad featuring R Ray and iced coffee pulled? Somehow I don’t picture an Al Queda leader drinking iced coffee.
