Loads of Great Food at the Farmers Market

lucidos1.jpgBesides Paul’s corn stand, I visited a lot of my favorite spots at the Dallas Farmers Market, including John Lucido’s stand. Every spring, I buy all of the starter plants for my herb garden from John and yesterday I stocked up on his homemade jalepeno-flavored linguine along with a couple jars of roasted garlic pasta sauce. I also picked up some fabulous onions from Lemley’s (below) across the street. Tonight I’m going to bake the onions and eat them alongside a plate of pasta and tomato sauce. And for dessert I’m going to open a jar of Lucido’s sweet Texas peaches and cover them with Blue Bell vanilla ice cream.
