Rum for the Roses at Windmill Lounge

The folks over at Windmill Lounge will open early (3PM) this Saturday to allow ample time for libations before the Kentucky Derby. There will be a hat parade, large screen TVs, and complimentary biscuits with ham and gravy. Mint Juleps for one and all.

Nancy, I’m telling you the place to be on Derby Day is Silks at Lone Star Park. Chef Jake Duplantis is one of the most underrated chefs in the Metroplex and he always goes all out with his buffet, pasta bar, and omelet bar. Expensive? Yes ($29 a person, but you can get there on Derby Day at 10 AM and dine all day.) Worth it? Oh, yes!!!
