Where to Find Dandelion Wine?

If Bradbury’s descriptions are even half deserving, why haven’t I seen this on a menu?

“Dandelion wine. The words were summer on the tongue. The wine was summer caught and stoppered.”

Because in Texas, summer is something from which to seek refuge.

Gotta admit “smog, dizzying heat and wafting odors of putrefaction caught and stoppered” sounds rather less appealing.

Most German cookbooks will have recipes for dandelion salad. I have had strawberry wine in california (too sweet). Never had dandelion wine but you might try Germandeli.com for the wine (located in Grapevine) If they don’t have it, you can request it from them.
