Leapin’ Dinner, Reprise

Fans of Oregon wines (love those Pinot Noirs) can enjoy a five-course wine dinner courtesy of executive chef Matthew Melton at Lawry’s The Prime Rib on February 29, 7 pm. Read on for dishes and pairings.

  • Braised short rib sliders on pâte á choux dressed with fresh butter lettuce slaw; 2006 Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Noir Whole Cluster.
  • Yellow squash and hazelnut soup; 2006 Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Gris.
  • Baked mountain quail complimented by a fresh melon jus reduction; 2006 Willamette Valley Vineyards Riesling.
  • Grilled Northwestern salmon with a sweet juniper sauce served with a bell pepper leek sauté and smashed roasted garlic Yukon potatoes; 2005 Willamette Valley Vineyards Estate Pinot Noir.
  • Vanilla Bean and Brown Sugar Soufflé finished with a rum crème anglaise; 2004 Tualatin Semi Sparking Muscat.
