Fishy Business

Mike Hoque—Go Fish, Fish Express, Dallas Fish Market–is rapidly becoming the Fisher King of Dallas. It seems like he’s opening a new seafood-centric restaurant every day. This morning a little bluebird flew in to tell me that Hoque has hired Michel Boutemy de Guislain, formerly of the Riviera, Paris Vendome, and most recently at Popolos, as general manager of Go Fish, which is about to relocate from its Belt Line location to the Village on the Green. Hoque also recently appointed Mark Curnow, formerly of Grotto, Tom Tom, and Smith & Wollensky, to oversee both Go Fish and the Dallas Fish Market downtown.Hmm. Village On The Green? Methinks Mr. Hoque might want to talk to the folks behind BLT (Bistro Laurent in Trouble?) Steak before he signs the lease. I hear they’re lookin’ to sell. IJS.
