Bill Addison Eats Crow With Lobster And Potato Chiboust With Osetra Caviar and Green Apple Sorbet

dennis.jpgJust about a year ago, the DMN debuted their new dining critic, Bill “Freckle Face” Addison. Eager to stir the pot, Addison started his rounds by taking on the DMN’s then current 5-Star listings. His first review was of Aurora, one the most upscale dining destinations in town. Although he liked the place, he didn’t love it; he took the listing down to a 4-Star. Owner Avner Samuel went bonkers. He wrote letters, he called everyone he knew, he called the DMN brass. Bill Addison was on the map. Chefs all over town were shaking in their clogs. Today, Addison has a new take on Avner and Aurora has it’s fifth star back. Way to go Billy Boy, you can fire those bodyguards now.

Nancy is name dropped in a rather scathing comment on the eats.blog. Good stuff.

Nancy, remember when you went to the pharmacy last week to get your anti-flatulence pills? You also should have picked up some anti-petulance pills.

people don’t get enough drama from survivor and american idol so they have to add it to their restaurant reviews.

Addison’s treatment appears to have been atypical. When we went I was seated in what appeared to be the main thoroughfare for the waiters. Every time one passed he bumbed the back of my chair. This is fine at McDonald’s but not at $200+ per head. Attempts to get them to take care were useless.
