Pasand is great--and yes, I'm weary of most buffets, too. The menu items at Pasand is really where they shine. I forget the name, but there's a sampler dish that comes with a ton of variety you won't find in the buffet.

I was mostly disappointed with my previous attempts at Indian cuisine. And I hate buffets. But two Indian coworkers recently dragged me to lunch at Pasand (Campbell and Coit), and it was very, very good.
